Stansberry Garden Project

A garden project was launched to help provide food for Stansberry.

When we arrived the land had been cleared for a garden site. The Ventrac tiller was used to prepare the soil. Fence posts were in place, without the fence.

Everyone is interested in the project.

One of three hydrants installed. This is a serious garden!

Mario, the chief, with his garden helpers. He spends a lot of time working with the soil and plants.

By the time we left there were seedlings and plants well on their way. It rained several times which provided the moisture needed to give the garden an excellent start.

Karen's Sewing Projects

The Kozels bought a mohogany sofa from a family moving back to the states and then ordered new cushions. I made some pillows, two for the sofa, one for the rocking chair and a floor pillow(not shown).

I also sewed a curtain panel for their bedroom door to help keep mosquito out. It seems to be doing the job.

School Girl

I love the trees on the school playground, beautiful.

Waiting outside her classroom.

What a colorful playground!

Off to school.

Papi Grande and I visited Tati's classroom at the Santa Cruz Christian Learning Center( english speaking), for playtime, at the end of the morning. It was fun to see the room, meet her teacher and interact with her classmates.

Turtles, turtles, turtles......

Micah loves turtles. Maybe even more than her mother!

One of the smaller turtles.

Did I mention that Micah loves turtles????
