Eastern Shore of Maryland

We joined my family (Shenk) on the Eastern shore of Maryland and spent several days at the beach. The first day we spent the afternoon at Ocean City and then the rest of the time we were at Assateague Island where they have the wild ponies. The weather was perfect - hot and no rain. There was a hurricane in the Atlantic that sent in some cold water the last two days. We had some wave action as well. This was another first for Sandra who loved the water and the boogie board. Aaron came with Crystal (they had to leave a day early to go to his family reunion) and Justin brought his girlfriend, Lindsey, from PA. There were 17 of us in a farm house with one bathroom, but it wasn't as bad as it sounds. The island was great and is a national park, so there are no commercial properties there. A very natural beach setting. All of us rented bikes and rode on the bike trail where we saw a herd of the wild ponies. It was a lot of fun.
I love the beach and it seems our time there was over too quickly!
