Refreshing Rain

This past week was very hot, windy and dry. The temperature hit over 1oo for a day or two. There was also a lot of smoke in the air from farmers burning their land. On Saturday evening we saw some lightening and could hear raindrops hitting distant rooftops and were just waiting for a refreshing rain. Thank God, it did rain for a few hours. There had not been any rain to speak of since the end of May. The smoke has cleared and things are starting to become more green. The temperatures also cooled down too. My (Karen's) allergies had been acting up with the dust and smoke. That has improved with the rain as well.
