Happy Birthday Alex!
We had a birthday party for Alex on Saturday, October 13. It was his 28th.
Happy birthday to a great son-in-law. We love you!
His birthday cake was strawberry shortcake with ice cream and milk.
We also grilled some yummy steak and chicken kabobs.
Tati couldn't wait for Al to open the gift she picked for her daddy. Dig the wrapping paper!
And, you can see that Alex was equally excited about opening it.
Although it's not visible on the photo, it's a purple Hot Wheel motorcycle. He took it to his office and I think he will secretly play with it when the books don't balance. By the way, he did recieve some other gifts as well.
A birthday hug for dadday. Somehow, we forgot to sing the birthday song to him. Not sure how that happened. Sorry Alex. He does look thrilled to be the birthday guy, or maybe it's that we forgot to sing to him. Anyway, it was a good day.

I don't know why this post brought tears to my eyes...is it that my baby brother is getting older? is so cute? didn't get his birthday song? is a daddy himself now? For whatever reason, thanks for sharing this touching post.
